ACUPUNCTURE and ENERGY ISSUES

ACUPUNCTURE FOR ENERGY
Acupuncturists take account of all of your body's energies, radiant heat energy, magnetic energy, electrical energy that triggers our muscles and heart. An acupuncture practitioner visualizes a very different human being.
Acupuncture, is all about energy. We call it Qi. Acupuncture recognizeas the importance of enerygy to our body's functioning and health. When energy is abundant and flowing normaly we are healthy. If energy is weak or flowing improperly, we are ill or may become ill.
According to acupuncture theory there are many different kinds of energy. There is defensive energy, digestive energy, each organ has its own energy such as heart qi, lung qi, etc. There is the energy flowing through the 14 main acupuncture channels, and energy of the collateral channels.
Acupuncture is said to help regulate and normalize the flow of these energies. Acupuncture points are often seen as gates where energy can be opened, closed, or redirected. Some acupuncture points have only local effects, other acupuncture points are said to have properties effecting the whole body. For example, acupuncture point Stomach 35, located in the knee, is used only for knee joint problems, however acupuncture point Stomach 36, located about 3 inches below Stomach 35, is said to regulate the absorbtion of food in the intestines and thus effect the energy of the whole body.
Energy problems such as immune deficiencies, and fatigue are often curable with acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicines, however these illnesses are complex and do not lend themselves to self diagnosis or treatment. Working with an experienced practitioner is essential in these cases.
